Sonic Textures and Emotion.

One of the things about writing music for picture is being able to explore the sonic landscape of emotion. Underscoring what is happening onscreen in a way that is both musically interesting but also transparent to the viewer. Often feeling the music rather than audibly noticing it.

I love exploring texture by way of the orchestra and juxtaposing and marrying that with the digital domain. Analog synthesizers and unique character sound design often times I approach my music in the way that I approach painting. Abstract and textural.

Above Ground on SHOWTIME.

With over 60 minutes of orchestral music, I composed and recording the score to SHOWTIME premiere film “Above Ground”. The film was shot in Missouri and featured Clayne Crawford (Lethal Weapon, Killing of Two Lovers, Walk To Remember).
